Civic Clarity Announces Document Library ADA Checker Now Available
Share
We’re excited to bring a major update to the Document Library.
Civic Clarity has added an ADA accessibility checker to the website Document Library. This update gives website editors a simple first step for reviewing PDF documents after they are uploaded to the website.
Website editors can check up to 10 PDF documents per day for ADA accessibility pass/fail status at no cost. If you want to check more documents, there is a $60/year fee for up to 100 documents/day.
Beyond checking accessibility status, the new tool also generates:
- A printable report for each checked document, giving a pass/fail status and explanation of where it fails.
- A list of top failing rules to help the website editors prioritize editing training.
- A sortable list of checked documents and their status over a time range.
The DOJ is currently considering further undisclosed revisions to their ruling. We will keep you apprised of any changes as we learn about them.
Clarity Help has an article that describes Next Steps on What To Do after you learn your document has failed the PDF Checker.
We hope you welcome our new update as a way to take away the mystery of if your pdf documents are accessible.
